About

My name is Lucas, and I am an English and Spanish into Brazilian Portuguese translator and interpreter, specialized in video game translation. I have around 700,000 words of experience in the area, working on more than 45 titles for different platforms (consoles, mobile, PC) since 2020. The projects I participated have received 13 awards and 16 other nominations in The Game Awards since 2014 (first edition of the event).

I am graduated in International Relations (2014), with post-graduation in Project Management (2017) and Translation from English (2022). I take different courses regularly, not only in video game translation, but also in other translation areas. I am a member of ATA (American Translators Association), ABRATES (Associação Brasileira de Tradutores e Intérpretes), and SINTRA (Sindicato Nacional dos Tradutores).

I have experience with many CAT tools (computer-assisted translation tools), such as Trados, MemoQ, Memsource/Phrase, Smartcat, Matecat, Smartling, Lokalise, Wordfast, Xliff Editor, OmegaT, and Swordfish. I have also worked with other related tools, such as Xbench, Linguistic Toolbox, and Transistor.
